Welcome New Students!

We are aware of some of the questions that are unique to incoming Indian students, but are not so obvious to Americans. In an effort to help you more effectively and efficiently, we have tried to develop this web page. The information included here is based on the various questions asked by many prospective students before coming to UVa and other useful information which we feel is important for you. Hopefully, the information here will help to make your transition to life in Charlottesville as smooth as possible. We hope to make you aware of what to expect when you arrive, so that you can settle in as early and as easily as possible.

We would like to thank Anand Natrajan (CS Dept, UVa) for not only encouraging us to develop and launch this webpage, but also for actively contributing to a lot of information you'll read here. Without his efforts, ideas, help and motivation, it would have been very difficult for us to put up this webpage.
