Educational Background: B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Marketing & Management from Hampton Institute (currently Hampton University). An M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of the District of Columbia. She has also undertaken further course work in Higher Education Administration and Counselor Education from the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia.
Biography: Leah originally joined the UB program in November of 1980, as the program's first full-time counselor. In the fall of 1981, she became the program's acting director when Winston Edmonds took a U.S. Department of Education fellowship. This position became permanent in the fall of 1982.
