University of Virginia Art Museum
The University of Virginia Art Museum, the fine arts museum of the University of Virginia, exhibits
art from around the world dating from ancient times to the present day. In addition
to its permanent collection, the Museum presents an ongoing schedule of changing
exhibitions, accompanied by related programs and publications.
Public Hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00 pm
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 pm
Admission to the museum is free of charge. Donations are welcomed to help
defray exhibition and program costs.
Women’s Center
The Center sponsors a wide range of lectures, seminars, and workshops focusing on women's issues both practical and
academic. All events are free and open to the public.
Colonnade Club
The Faculty Club of the University of Virginia
The Club is located in Pavilion VII. The
Hotel is open for lunch and club activities.
Mini-Med School
An informative and entertaining seven-week, tuition-free course designed to
familiarize participants with medical terminology, enhance their knowledge of
medicine, and give them new insights into medical research.

The
Learning Place
The Learning Place is committed to informing patients, families, professionals
and the community about cancer. Everyone is welcome to use the resources of The Learning
Place, located at the Cancer Center, 4th floor of Hospital West,
UVa Medical Center. The Learning Place has a staff member
available to answer questions and an Internet-accessible computer with a vast array of bookmarks to help you
with on-line research.
Bodytalk
Bodytalk is a health information center designed to provide you and your family easy access to health and medical
information that is explained in everyday language. It is not necessary to have attended medical school to use
the resources or the customized information packets prepared for you. The most current user-friendly books, magazines, videos, and
computer printouts on everything - from bunions to brain tumors are
available.
Virginia Film Festival
The Virginia Film Festival is a program of the Drama Department. It is
an annual event that usually takes place in late October. Visit the

online, and learning more about this year's festival as well as those in the
past.
